KANSAS CITY, Kan. - Chris Andrews, who started the year as the team director of the No. 19 Evernham Motorsports Dodge, is no longer being referred to as a co-team director.
Andrews had been listed with Josh Browne for several weeks as "co-directors" (the Evernham word for crew chief) for the team, but the listing was changed on the Elliott Sadler team roster this week. Andrews has been reassigned to work on special projects at Evernham.
Browne was brought in to help with the transition from Jeremy Mayfield to Sadler when Sadler first joined the team at Michigan in mid-August.
Sadler said Friday prior to practice for the NASCAR Nextel Cup Banquet 400 at Kansas Speedway that he is pleased with the team's progress.
"Josh and I have never worked together before, and we're still fine-tuning that [communication]," Sadler said. "Each driver has a different tolerance level as to what is too loose and what is too tight. He's learning my level right now."
- Mentioned Drivers:
- Elliott Sadler
