Park working on ride for 2007
Saturday, September 23, 2006
DOVER, Del. - Steve Park said he hopes to have a full-time ride next season.
Park, a former NASCAR Cup competitor, has dabbled in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and the Busch Series this year.
He placed second in the Sunoco 150 Busch East Series race at Dover on Friday.
"We're looking to get back full time in '07 or '08 and hopefully we'll be able to make an announcement in a month," said Park, who has 181 Cup starts in his career. "We're not looking at Cup because of the money factor.
"Trucks is what we originally looked at but now they're contemplating going to the Busch Series."
Park has run in only 10 truck events and six Busch events this year.
"I have kind of enjoyed the time off," he said.
