BRISTOL, Tenn. - Joe Nemechek and Kurt Busch will participate in a one-day tire test Aug. 29 at Lowe's Motor Speedway, NASCAR and Goodyear officials confirmed Saturday.
With new pavement put down prior to the May race at the track, Goodyear is still trying to find the best compound to use on the 1.5-mile oval.
Neither Nemechek nor Busch are in contention for the Chase For The Nextel Cup, so they won't gain an advantage in testing at a Chase track over another championship contender.
