Kertus Davis said his father, Johnny, will be forced to close the doors on the family-owned Davis Motorsports team at the end of the season because "we're way in debt."
"We don't want to start off the season in debt next year because we started off the season this year in debt," Davis said July 29. "He's fixing to be 51 years old in October and has no retirement. It's just me, my father and one other full-time employee. We're working day and night just to be here."
