LONG POND, Pa. - Ware Racing Enterprises has purchased equipment from Stanton Barrett Motorsports, and Barrett has begun competing on the Nextel Cup level under the Ware banner.
Barrett, who failed to qualify for today's Pennsylvania 500, will also attempt to qualify for races at Bristol, Loudon and Phoenix, team owner Rick Ware said Friday. The team also is hoping to add Charlotte, Texas and Homestead as it works on finalizing a sponsor and a program for 2007.
The team ran the No. 52 at Pocono but would like to run the No. 30 in races later this year, Ware said.
Ware also plans on entering the Dover race in September with driver Donnie Neuenberger.
