Campers named Martinsville grand marshals
Monday, July 17, 2006
Three children from the Victory Junction Gang Camp have been named grand marshals for Saturday's Goody's 250 Busch Series race at Martinsville Speedway.
The camp, founded by Kyle and Pattie Petty, hosts chronically ill children. Only the first names of campers are ever released, so the grand marshals are identified only as Nick of Clemmons, N.C., age 13; Will of Greensboro, N.C., Age 12; and Danielle of Martinsville, Va., age 12.
On Thursday the trio will visit the speedway to tour the track, participate in pace car rides and meet with several drivers for autographs and photos.
