Jeff Burton will drive the No. 77 Kevin Harvick Inc. car to replace Busch Series rookie Burney Lamar this weekend at New Hampshire International Speedway.
"After reviewing the progress of our team the first half of the season, we felt like the assessment of an experienced driver could only help the development of our team and Burney Lamar," team owner Kevin Harvick said.
"I've watched Jeff's input have a very positive impact on RCR and I value and respect his opinion."
Lamar currently leads the Raybestos rookie standings by eight points over John Andretti. He is 15th in the overall series point standings and has three top-10s this season with a best of second in the opening race of the year at Daytona.
Lamar will be back in the car for the July 22 race at Martinsville Speedway, according to a KHI release.
