Harvick's Busch Series crew chief ejected

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - The crew chief for Busch Series points leader Kevin Harvick was ejected following post-qualifying inspection for the Winn-Dixie 250 on Friday afternoon after NASCAR officials found that his car had an "unapproved aerodynamic modification."
Shane Wilson was escorted out of the Busch Series garage by NASCAR Busch Series Director Joe Balash after a meeting between Wilson, Balash and NASCAR Vice President Robin Pemberton. Todd Berrier, Harvick's Nextel Cup crew chief, is filling in for Wilson for the race.
Harvick's qualifying time was disallowed. Instead of starting 27th, Harvick will have to start in the 42nd position of the 43-car field.
A hefty points fine likely will be levied because Wilson already was on probation for the team's car being too low in post-race inspection at the previous restrictor-plate race at Talladega. Harvick was docked 25 points and Wilson was put on probation through the end of the year following the Talladega infraction.
NASCAR officials said the ejection was for this infraction and the fact that Wilson was already on probation did not play a role in that decision.
Harvick leads the Busch Series standings by 344 points over Denny Hamlin.
