Sunday, June 18, 2006
Busch Series driver Jeff Fuller was released from a Lexington, Ky., hospital Sunday afternoon following a savage crash in Saturday night's Busch Series race at Kentucky Speedway, NASCAR announced Sunday at Michigan International Speedway.
Fuller spun his No. 34 Frank Cicci Racing Chevrolet off Turn 2 to avoid the car of Jason Leffler. Fuller's car slid off the track and slammed the inside wall along the backstretch flush on the right side of the car.
He was airlifted to Kentucky Chandler Medical Center, where he spent Saturday night being evaluated.
