RCR names Busch Series sponsor

Richard Childress Racing says that BB&T Corp. will sponsor the team's No. 2 Chevrolets and driver Clint Bowyer in the NASCAR Busch Series next season.
Bowyer is scheduled to compete in 17 races each in the 2007 and 2008 seasons, beginning with the Feb. 17 Daytona 300 at Daytona International Speedway.
Bowyer has three victories, 28 top-five and 46 top-10 finishes in 87 Busch Series starts. He finished second in 2005 and third in 2006 in the championship point standings in his first two full seasons in NASCAR's junior division. Bowyer is also the full-time driver of RCR's No. 07 Chevrolet team in the Cup series and earned four top-five and 11 top-10 finishes during his 2006 rookie campaign.
Winston-Salem, N.C.-based BB&T Corp. and its subsidiaries offer full-service commercial and retail banking and additional financial services.
Financial terms of the contract were not disclosed.
