David Ragan isn't done yet
Sep
14
We haven’t seen the last of David Ragan, that’s for sure.
Who would’ve predicted the Roush Fenway Racing driver would have narrowly missed the Chase For The Sprint Cup? Well, me, sort of. Back in January, I picked Ragan to actually make the Chase. I almost looked smart (story of my life!).
Anyway, Ragan impressed plenty of people this year with his solid performances in the Sprint Cup Series, and now UPS has signed on as sponsor of Ragan and the No. 6 team.
Yes, UPS. Once one of the most visible sponsors in the sport, UPS suddenly went dark this year in what turned out to be its final season backing Michael Waltrip Racing.
The guess here is Ragan will be front and center in plenty of advertising from now on, and it won’t simply be because UPS has to make him its centerpiece.
No, Ragan will soon start winning races, making UPS and Jack Roush look very smart. And this time next year, Ragan will be in the Chase.
I guess that means I should pick him again next year.
