BRISTOL, Tenn. – The famed Gluck-O-Meter was out again at Bristol Motor Speedway today, measuring fan reaction to the most popular drivers during pre-race introductions.
The Gluck-O-Meter, an extremely unscientific measurement on a scale of 1-to-10, recorded some extremely strong reactions before today's race.
Jeff Gordon barely beat out Tony Stewart for the most noise award, but Dale Earnhardt Jr. once again captured the most cheers. Juan Pablo Montoya received the most boos, followed closely by Kyle Busch, Jimmie Johnson, then Kurt Busch.
Dale Jarrett, by virtue of his retirement ceremony, also was widely cheered and came in second to only Earnhardt Jr. in the cheers-only category.
Other receiving many cheers included Kasey Kahne and Carl Edwards.
