Busch greeted with more jeers at Dover
Jun
1
DOVER, Del. – The Gluck-O-Meter continues to measure some hostile feelings toward Kyle Busch.
Busch received by far the most noise and the most boos today at Dover International Speedway during driver introductions, as measured by the extremely unscientific crowd noise measuring device called a reporter's notebook.
As Busch was introduced to the crowd, fans showered the best driver in NASCAR with angry jeers, measuring a 10 on the Gluck-O-Meter scale.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. received the second-most noise, measuring an 8.5 – all in cheers.
Jeff Gordon received an avalanche of boos, surprising in sponsor DuPont's home state of Delaware, but he had enough cheers to measure in the "mixed" category. His noise level was an 8.
Tony Stewart was close behind in the mixed cheers/boos category with a 7.5.
Other big noise-getters included Mark Martin (6 in cheers), Jimmie Johnson (5 in boos), Juan Pablo Montoya (4 in boos) and Kurt Busch (4 in boos).
Kasey Kahne, who won the last two races entering today's race, received a surprisingly few amount of cheers, measuring only a 4 on the Gluck-O-Meter scale.

I mean I think I saw people gagging and dry-heaving down in the pits where most of the stink was being blown towards.

Jun 4, 2008 at 10:44 PMJealous JR. nation needs to GROW UP and get over it already. Face the facts-KB kicks A@@ on the track and Jr. is nowhere in KB's league-I laugh when I see all the jealousy and so does Kyle. Earnheart is nothing with or without the name and I am sick of hearing all the whining about KB.
