Junior, Busch invoke different Darlington greetings

DARLINGTON, S.C. – The Gluck-o-Meter is back, and it's busted.
The crowd noise measured by the Gluck-o-Meter at Darlington Raceway tonight was so off the charts that the unscientific measuring device (my notepad) will have to be sent to the shop for repairs.
Thanks to the greatest boo in Gluck-o-Meter's five-year history, which registered an 11 on a scale of 1-to-10, Darlington set yet another track record this weekend.
The massive, tremendous, throaty "BOOOOOOO" came when the Busch brothers – Kurt and his reviled brother Kyle, who is public enemy No. 1 to Junior Nation – were introduced together in a special Mother's Day edition of driver introductions.
They happened to have qualified consecutively, which allowed both to come out at the same time. And the fans unleashed a long, lasting jeer that could probably be heard for miles.
On the other hand, Dale Earnhardt Jr. received what seemed like even more cheers than usual – if that's even possible – registering a perfect 10 on the Gluck-o-Meter cheering scale.
Tony Stewart had the third-most noise behind Earnhardt Jr. and the Busch brothers – receiving his usual 50-50 mixture of cheers and boos, and Jeff Gordon also was welcomed with a heavy amount of mixed noise.

May 15, 2008 at 8:10 AMThis is great stuff for the sport. The only difference is Kyle Busch deserves his cheers or his boos depending on whether you like seeing him win or not. If you like his aggressive, move or I'll move you driving style or not. Jr. spun Busch out last year after it was annouced he was moving from D.E.I. to take that ride.Following in the foot steps of Jr.Johnson, Bobby Alison, Dale Earnhart Sr., Rusty Wallace, Kevin Harvick,and The greatest race car driver EVER, Tony Stewart. Kyle Busch is a race car driver.
