Mexico City race didn't disappoint

Apr 22
What I liked best about the race in Mexico City was simple: There was no Sprint Cup race the same weekend. The focus was on the Nationwide Series, and the special venue drew all eyes toward the event. If there is a “unique” day in the series, Mexico City is it.

OK, so maybe the winner wasn’t exactly exclusive to the Nationwide Series. Kyle Busch is running in about every series known to man. But, hey, the victory was his and on a “road coarse” to boot.

As a NASCAR fan, the little time during the weekend I have, I devout to NASCAR’s premier Sprint Cup. It’s called life, and squeezing viewing time for two races (three if you count trucks) is close to impossible. I catch the other series when I get the chance.

It’s unfortunate, really. I have been to several Nationwide Series races, and I love them. Sometimes, I think I actually prefer them – shorter distances and great driving. This past Sunday, Mexico City did not disappoint, and the Nationwide Series looked good in the spotlight.
