Next five to win

Jun 5
There are several drivers who haven’t won on the Sprint Cup circuit this year, and – with apologies to Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick – here are the next five drivers who will win a race:

1. Greg Biffle. He’s been too close too many times. He will get a win in the next month, and it would not be a surprise if he gets one in the next two weeks.

2. Jeff Gordon. Like Biffle, he’s getting close. He has a good shot this weekend at Pocono or possibly at Infineon in a couple of weeks.

3. Martin Truex Jr. He has run well but hasn’t had good finishes. His sixth-place finish at Dover was a good sign. Best shot for him? New
Hampshire.

4. Dale Earnhardt Jr. He’s got to win sometime, right? Right? Somewhere? Somehow?

5. Tony Stewart. No, Tony, winning your Prelude to the Dream doesn’t count. You will climb a fence this year and the best guess from here is Daytona or Chicago.
