Wood leads opening Daytona truck practice
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Wood Brothers Racing’s Jon Wood led NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series practice Wednesday night at Daytona International Speedway.
Wood posted a lap of 186.170 mph and was followed by Bill Davis Racing’s Phillip McGilton at 185.858 mph.
Bobby Hamilton Racing-Virginia’s Stacy Compton, SS-Green Light Racing’s Jason White and Germain Racing’s Todd Bodine rounded out the top five in the practice, which went caution free after being delayed an hour because of rain.
Sixth through 10th in practice were Germain’s Justin Marks, BDR’s Mike Skinner, Wyler Racing’s Terry Cook, ThorSport Racing’s Shelby
Howard and BHR-Virginia’s Dennis Setzer.
Drivers will participate in final practice from 11:15 a.m.-1:15 p.m. EST Thursday and then follow that with qualifying at 7:10 p.m. The
Chevy Silverado 250 is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. Friday.
