NASCAR Camping World Truck Series drivers David Starr and Chase Austin threw out the first pitch at the Kansas City Royals Major League Baseball game on Tuesday night.

Starr and Austin signed autographs and met with fans during the early innings of the game, which they attended to help promote the running of the Truck series’ O’Reilly Auto Parts 250 at Kansas Speedway on April 25.

The drivers led the crowd in “Take Me Out to the Ballgame” from the Royals dugout during the seventh-inning stretch.

Both drivers also met with players and manager Trey Hillman during batting practice.

“This was my first pitch in a professional ballgame,” said Austin, who hails from Eudora, Kan., and had family and friends in the stands. “David has previous experience, so I was pretty nervous and focused. But we made it across home plate and into the catcher’s mitt, which is what matters.

“Man, this is just awesome, and there are a couple race fans on the team, which is cool.”
