Red Horse Racing's Timothy Peters records fastest lap in first Truck practice

HOMESTEAD, Fla. - Red Horse Racing's Timothy Peters recorded the fastest lap in Thursday's opening NASCAR Camping World Truck Series practice at Homestead-Miami Speedway, leading the way with a lap of 168.418 mph.

Roush Fenway Racing's Colin Braun was second best at 167.817, followed by Kevin Harvick Inc.'s Kevin Harvick at 166.703.

ThorSport Racing teammates Matt Crafton and Johnny Sauter completed the top five.

Positions six through 10 in speed belonged to Billy Ballew Motorsports' Kyle Busch and Aric Almirola, Germain Racing's Todd Bodine, Randy Moss Motorsports' Mike Skinner and Red Horse's T.J. Bell

There were no incidents in the one-hour session, which was held in preparation for Friday night’s Ford 200 season finale.

On-track activities resume with a final 90-minute practice slated to begin at 6:30 p.m. EST Thursday.
