Norm Benning Racing crew chief suspended for alleged drug policy violation

Billy Wheeler, crew chief of the No. 57 truck for Norm Benning Racing, has been indefinitely suspended from NASCAR for violating the sanctioning body’s substance abuse policy, according to a news release from the sanctioning body.
Wheeler is the first crew member suspended this year under the policy, which was revised in 2009 to include random drug testing.
