NASCAR and Camping World have unveiled the logo for the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

The new look marks the latest step for the series’ transition to Camping World as the new title sponsor beginning in 2009, after 14 years of sponsorship by Craftsman. NASCAR and Camping World announced a seven-year partnership agreement on Oct. 23.

“We are excited to debut this logo and give the fans a glimpse of what the series will look like for 2009,” said Steve Phelps, NASCAR’s chief marketing officer. “While the logo and the sponsor will be new, the highly competitive nature of this series will continue as it has every year since 1995.”

Founded in 1966, Camping World is a marketer and specialty retailer of recreational vehicles and outdoor camping accessories and services.

“This sponsorship is coming on the cusp of many good years partnering with NASCAR and the auto manufacturers, and we are very excited at the opportunity to be the new title sponsor,” said Marcus Lemonis, Camping World chairman and chief executive officer. “The new logo is just a start of great things to come in 2009.”

I would be too if NASCAR screwed me out of a sponsorship relationship I had in place...

It only has an effect on his nationwide team, and both Camping World and NASCAR contacted him about those side-effects months before Camping World was introduced as the new Truck Series sponsor.

He's got CW on the #2 truck for 2008, and will only have to find sponsorship for his #33 team for about 1/3 of the schedule. That's not really "getting screwed out of a sponsorship" considering he admitted that NASCAR and Camping World told him that they would cut his NW car sponsorship if added as Truck Series sponsor MONTHS AGO. If he can't find the sponsorship he needs to fill in time, it's no one's fault but his own.

I like the Camping World Series East & West logo better - at least it incorporates the CW logo at the bottom :-D

Andrew doesn't seem to be tuned in to how difficult it is finding sponsorship these days. Even Jr. can't find enough sponsorship to run his #5 Nationwide car for the full season. NA$CAR and the France's have more money than they know what to do with. It would be an appropriate gesture of them to help out KHR, since they directly benefit from his loosing his sponsor.

I was wondering what that would mean for KHI's teams-that sucks for him.

And yeah, Andrew, not real easy to find sponsorship these days-CUP teams are having difficulty, JUNIOR can't find a FT sponsor for his NW team...if the most popular guy in NASCAR can't find a sponsor-what does that tell you?
