Randy Moss Motorsports has announced that veteran Mike Skinner and rookie Tayler Malsam will drive full time for the team in the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series season.

Sponsors weren’t announced, but Skinner said he helped bring Toyota to the team, which is switching from Chevrolets. Skinner will drive the No. 46 while Malsam will drive the No. 81.

Skinner, the 1995 Truck champion, has 25 career wins in the series. Malsam, a Washington native whose main experience is running Sprint cars on dirt in the Pacific Northwest, was ninth last year in the Automobile Racing Club of America Re/Max Series.

Both drivers had originally hoped to drive for Bill Davis Racing in 2009, but that team was sold, and the new owners don’t expect to compete this year.

"We are very pleased to have both Tayler and Mike come on board at Randy Moss Motorsports for the 2009 season," said Randy Moss, the New England Patriots receiver who is co-owner of the team along with David Dollar. "Tayler has shown a lot of promise in his performance on the track in 2008, and we look forward to helping him to continue to grow as a driver in 2009.

“Mike will be able to help mentor Tayler while going for his second championship all at the same time. It's the perfect combination."

Dollar has been involved in the series since 1996.

"David Dollar has been in this business for a long time, and I think that his management skills are definitely head and shoulders above a lot of the others out there,” Skinner said. “It's a great opportunity for all of us.

“Hopefully, between David and myself and Randy, working with really good people, we can get the sponsorship that it takes to be competitive and to continue on with a program that's been in place since 1996."
