Kyle Busch leads opening Truck practice at Texas

FORT WORTH, Texas – Billy Ballew Motorsports driver Kyle Busch led the first NASCAR Camping World Series practice Thursday at Texas Motor Speedway, with teammate Aric Almirola second.
 
Busch, in the No. 51 Toyota, turned a lap of 180.102 mph, more than a tenth of a second quicker than Almirola’s 179.093 mph. The pair finished first and second in last weekend’s race at Talladega Superspeedway.
 
Chad McCumbee (SS-Green Light Racing) was third at 178.838. Colin Braun (Roush Fenway Racing) was fourth and Ron Hornaday Jr. (Kevin Harvick Inc.) was fifth.
 
Sixth through 10th were Todd Bodine (Germain Racing), Matt Crafton (ThorSport Racing), Mike Skinner (Randy Moss Motorsports), Johnny Sauter (ThorSport) and David Gilliland (ThorSport).
 
The No. 92 Chevrolet of John Jackson spun and hit the wall and will have to go to a backup.
 
Final Truck practice is slated for 3:15 p.m. EST, with qualifying for the WinStar World Casino 350 slated for 8 p.m. Thursday.
