Jason White to drive for SS Green Light Racing in 2010
Jason White, who finished 16th in the Camping World Truck Series standings in 2009, will be reunited with SS Green Light Racing in 2010, the team says.
White drove for the team in 2008 and was 19th in points. Last year, he and sponsor GunBroker.com fielded their own team. White will bring the Internet site as his sponsor back to SS Green Light.
“We bought a new truck that we are going to run at Daytona. We’re looking forward to getting the season started,” White said. “We’ve done a lot of wind tunnel [testing] on it. I think we have a good shot at running up front.”
Doug Howe, who has been White’s crew chief for the last two seasons, will again lead his team. Bobby Dotter will move from the pit box of the SS Green Light No. 07 team to the general manager role and will join Howe on race day.
White had two top-five and four top-10 finishes last year.
“We had some great runs last year and building on our program from last year with Doug, and the guys from SS Green Light Racing will make us even stronger in 2010,” White said. “It’s going to be a great season for us.”
Financial terms of the sponsorship were not disclosed.
