HT Motorsports, which fields the Nos. 24 and 25 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series teams, trimmed an undisclosed number of employees on Monday for the winter months, blaming the current economic climate.

Jim Harris, owner of HT Motorsports, said he took the measures until more substantial sponsorship is confirmed.

“We are still beating the bushes and have a lot of things in the works,” Harris said. “But the best thing for us all to do right now is cut back until those things come to fruition. We have a lot to offer a company who sponsors our team, and with the proper tools in place, we can make a great run for victories, or even the championship.”

David Starr finished ninth in the series point standings in the No. 24 entry, while the No. 25 was driven by Terry Cook for most of the season and then Mike Bliss in the final pair of races, finishing 14th in the standings.
