Ron Hornaday already has won the 2009 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship, so for the 39 entries for the Ford 200, it’s all about winning on Friday night or getting ready for next season.
Well, actually there is still an owners’ title to be decided, and that race will include one of the two full-time Sprint Cup competitors entered in the event.
Kyle Busch will try to lead the No. 51 Billy Ballew Motorsports team to the owners’ title, but he will have to gain 60 points on Kevin Harvick Inc.’s Hornaday and the No. 33 KHI team. Team owner Kevin Harvick is the other full-time Cup driver in the event.
Among entries in trucks who haven’t had a full-time driver this season are Billy Ballew’s Aric Almriola, HT Motorsports’ Mike Bliss, Turner Motorsports’ Ricky Carmichael and Fast Track Racing’s Richard Harriman and Bryan Silas. Among part-time drivers entered are Marc Davis and Mario Gosselin driving for family-owned teams.
