DOVER, Del. - Rookie practice proved costly to two Busch Series rookies Friday at Dover International Speedway.
Mark McFarland hit the wall off Turn 4 early in the 30-minute session and was forced to a backup No. 88 Chevrolet.
With less than two minutes remaining in the practice, Steve Wallace lost control of his No. 64 Dodge off Turn 4 and slammed the inside wall along the frontstretch. Wallace, who had the fastest speed of the nine cars at 151.579 mph, will also go to a backup.
Neither driver was injured.
