General Discussion » Can Tony Jr do for Brad what he couldn't do for Dale?
There weren't that many bad calls on timing and pitstops.
LOUDON, N.H. - Martin Truex Jr. led the Nextel Cup final practice Saturday with a lap of 128.615 mph around New Hampshire International Speedway.
Brian Vickers was second-fastest at 128.550 mph, followed by Kyle Busch at 128.355 mph.
"It's exciting," Truex said about being the fastest in practice. "It's been a while since we've done something like that. It's cool. I don't want to get my hopes up too high because this deal is tough and we probably weren't quite as good as we need to be right at the end of practice."
There were no incidents in the two practices Saturday morning, and the cars will not take to the track until the race Sunday.
Ryan Newman will start on the pole of the Lenox Industrial Tools 300.
