Red Horse Racing officials announced Wednesday that David Starr would return to the team for the full Craftsman Truck Series season in 2008. Starr drove the team's No. 11 Toyota to a fourth-place finish in the final 2006 points standings.

The team said sponsorship would be announced at a later date.

"We are very excited to welcome David back to our team," said team co-owner and general manager Tom DeLoach. "David is one of the top drivers in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and we are very thankful that he has agreed to be part of our program next year. David has the talent, skills, and ability to be part of our effort to return our team to its winning ways, and we are thrilled to welcome him back."

Starr ran one year for Red Horse before leaving to join Circle Bar Racing this year. He will be reunited with crew chief Jamie Jones.

"I am really excited to return to Red Horse Racing next year," Starr said. "This is a great opportunity for me to reunite with Jamie Jones and drive for one of the best manufacturers in the series - Toyota. I think we'll be able to start right where we left off by finishing strong and winning races."

The team has employed four drivers in its No. 1 Toyota this season: Aaron Fike, David Green, Brandon Whitt and Jason Leffler. The team is eighth in the truck series owners standings.

Starr has four victories in 189 career starts in the truck series.
