HOMESTEAD, Fla. - David Ragan, well on his way to earning top rookie honors in the Busch Series, will start from the pole in the final Busch-sponsored race today.
Ragan turned a lap of 173.472 mph in his Roush Fenway Racing Ford and will start on the inside of the front row next to teammate and 2007 Busch Series champion Carl Edwards (172.458).
Rounding out the top five were Braun Racing's Dave Blaney, Richard Childress Racing's Kevin Harvick and Roush Fenway's Jamie McMurray.
Missing the race were MacDonald Motorsports' D.J. Kennington, Davis Motorsports' Kertus Davis, Richardson-Netzloff Racing's Jennifer Jo Cobb and DDL Motorsports' Eric McClure.
The 200-lap race is scheduled to begin at 4:30 p.m. EST.
