Richard Childress Racing will field the No. 29 Chevrolet for Timothy Peters in the Oct. 28 Sam's Town 250 Busch Series race at Memphis Motorsports Park.
Peters, recently signed to RCR for a part-time schedule in 2007, will have Pat Smith as crew chief. No sponsor was announced.
"Driving for Richard Childress is a dream come true for any driver," Peters said. "I am just excited about going to the track with such an elite team like RCR. I am especially excited about going to a short-track like Memphis because RCR seems to have one of the best short-track programs in the business.
"It is such a great feeling going to the track knowing you have the best equipment in the garage."
