DOVER, Del. - Richard Childress Racing hopes to enter Timothy Peters in its No. 29 Chevrolet in Busch Series races at Memphis at Homestead later this year.
Peters recently signed with RCR to compete in a part-time schedule in 2007 as the team moves to split schedules with its three Nextel Cup drivers next season.
RCR doesn't want to affect preparations for its Nextel Cup teams, two of which are in the Chase For The Nextel Cup, but it does want to get Peters additional seat time in preparation for 2007.
Peters will also drive in the ARCA race at Talladega next month for Childress.
