There weren't that many bad calls on timing and pitstops.
MEMPHIS, Tenn. - Chip Ganassi Racing crew chief Brian Pattie has left Memphis Motorsports Park to be with his father, who is in an Atlanta-area hospital.
Pattie is crew chief for Ganassi's No. 42 Dodge, which is being driven this weekend by Indianapolis 500 winner and Indy Racing League champion Dario Franchitti. Franchitti is making his Busch Series debut this weekend.
A Ganassi spokesperson said Pattie plans on returning to Memphis in time for qualifying tomorrow. Pattie did not miss any on-track time Friday.
"As I said to Brian earlier, there's a lot more important things than a race car or races," Franchitti said. "He knows that."
