CONCORD, N.C. -- NASCAR Vice President for Competition Robin Pemberton says the sanctioning body will sit down with Nicole Lunders and Eva Bryan prior to the Nextel Cup race in Phoenix.

Lunders, the longtime girlfriend of Greg Biffle, went into the pit of Kurt Busch to yell at Bryan, Busch's fiancée, after Biffle and Busch were involved in a wreck during Sunday's race at Texas Motor Speedway.

"There will be some conversations that will be had with the people that participated, and we'll make sure that this doesn't carry on and into the garage or anywhere else," Pemberton said. "You've got to remember, most everybody in the garage area is friends, and those two girls in particular have a close relationship. Tempers flare, and we'll look at that, and we'll make sure it doesn't carry on any further than that."

Pemberton reiterated that crew members cannot go into another competitor's pit during a race if there is the potential for altercation. There was no altercation in this instance, just Lunders yelling at Bryan.

Whether the sanctioning body will take any action against Lunders is still up in the air. Pemberton said, with the Nextel Cup Series off this weekend and with the observance of the Easter holiday, NASCAR wasn't in a hurry to make any decisions.

"We're not done [with this[," Pemberton said. "It's a long week here, and the Cup guys are off this week, so things will be addressed and we'll handle things."
