NASCAR today suspended Busch Series driver Kevin Grubb indefinitely for failing to comply with the sanctioning body's substance abuse policy.

Grubb, 28 and driver of the No. 56 Chevrolet in the series, was suspended for failure to comply with the substance abuse policy and a refusal to submit to required testing. NASCAR's statement did not say when the refusal to submit to a test took place.

This is Grubb's second offense and the second time he has been suspended indefinitely.

Grubb was originally suspended in March 2004 for testing positive for a banned substance and was reinstated June 7 of this season. He has since participated in five Busch Series events. The reinstatement required Grubb to comply with the stipulations of NASCAR's substance abuse policy, which include periodic testing.

In July, shortly after he was reinstated, Grubb discussed the constant substance abuse testing he could be subject to throughout the remainder of his career. Asked specifically if he had any issues with the scrutiny, Grubb said he did not.

"It's great with me," he told NASCAR Scene. "I'll take one every day, just so there's no questions."
