Kevin Harvick Inc. officials announced Monday that Brandon Miller will make his second start with the team in this weekend's Sam's Town 250 Busch Series race at Memphis Motorsports Park, driving the team's No. 77 Chevrolet.
Miller, a former Richard Childress Racing development driver, last drove for KHI in a Craftsman Truck Series event at Mesa Marin Raceway on March 23, 2003. Miller started sixth and finished eighth in that race.
Miller will become the sixth driver in the No. 77 this year, following Bobby Labonte, Kertus Davis, Kevin Harvick, Ron Hornaday and Scott Wimmer. The team is 10th in the Busch Series owners standings, with one victory (by Labonte), three top-five and eight top-10 finishes.
"I can't thank Kevin and DeLana [Harvick] enough for this awesome opportunity to drive the No. 77 Chevrolet in Memphis," Miller said. "I grew up racing on short tracks, and I enjoy the fast pace line around Memphis Motorsports Park. It won't be new to me since I've raced there in the Busch Series once before, so I won't be starting out behind the eight ball."
Miller has made 13 career Busch starts, the last coming in 2005. He drove RCR's No. 21 at Memphis that year, starting 26th and finishing 20th.
- Mentioned Drivers:
- Bobby Labonte
