There weren't that many bad calls on timing and pitstops.
Chad McCumbee and Green Light Racing have announced plans for McCumbee to continue driving for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series team for the 2007 season.
McCumbee will once more drive the No. 08 Chevrolet after the team finished second in the rookie-of-the-year standings this season.
"I am real excited about next year," the 21-year-old said. "It is really nice to start preparing things for the next racing season even though the 2006 season just ended."
McCumbee earned three top-10 and nine top-15 finishes in 2006, with a second best of seventh at both Nashville (Tenn.) Superspeedway and Atlanta Motor Speedway. He was 17th in the final standings.
"For not really knowing what to expect when this year started, it was just a real pleasure to work with Chad," said Bobby Dotter, who co-owns the team with Gene Christensen. "He just performed better than most any driver ever has in our equipment, and we are obviously very excited for next year."
