There weren't that many bad calls on timing and pitstops.
Bill Lester, whose contract wasn't renewed by Bill Davis Racing, will drive Billy Ballew Motorsports' No. 15 Chevrolet for the 2007 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series season, Ballew crew chief Richie Wauters said Friday.
"Bill Lester's going to run the 15 truck right now," Wauters said.
Sponsorship for the team should be announced soon, Wauters said. Ballew will also field the No. 51 truck in selected races, with Kyle Busch, Steve Wallace and J.R. Norris likely sharing driving duties.
Lester drove the past three seasons for Davis, wining two poles and posting two top-five and five top-10 finishes in 74 races. Lester also made two Nextel Cup starts for Davis in 2006.
Five drivers shared the No. 15 in 2006, with Busch posting a best finish of second in the second Texas race. Busch also won at Lowe's Motor Speedway in May in Ballew's No. 51.
