Robert Yates Racing may end up keeping driver Stephen Leicht, who was considered a possible successor to Dale Jarrett in the team's No. 88 Nextel Cup Ford, and sponsor CitiFinancial in the Busch Series for one more season.
Asked if he had Busch Series plans completed for next season, team co-owner Doug Yates said that he thinks his sponsor is returning.
"I believe CitiFinancial is going to be back with us next year in the Busch Series, one more year with Stephen Leicht as the driver and ... then moving to the Cup level in '08. That's our long-range plans.
"We're working on plans for our 88 car and have a very exciting possibility as far as driver and sponsorship."
