Kevin Harvick Inc. officials announced that Ernie Cope will be crew chief for three-time Craftsman Truck Series champion Jack Sprague's team this season and that American Commercial Lines will sponsor the truck for 15 races.
Cope has worked with drivers such as Ken Schrader, Jon Wood and Stacy Compton.
"We are extremely excited about having ACL join KHI," said Kevin Harvick, KHI co-owner. "After such a successful year in the truck series in 2007, we see the addition of Jack Sprague and ACL as a winning combination."
ACL, a marine transportation and manufacturing business, will begin its 15-race sponsorship at the season opener in Daytona. An announcement concerning sponsorship for the remaining 10 series races will come at a later date.
Georgia Boot will join the team as an associate sponsor.
Financial terms of the contracts were not disclosed.
