Kenny Wallace will practice and qualify for Jamie McMurray in the No. 26 Roush Fenway Racing Ford during the NASCAR Busch Series Sam's Town 250 weekend at Memphis Motorsports Park.
Wallace will practice the car Friday and qualify it Saturday morning. McMurray will fly from Atlanta Motor Speedway following Nextel Cup practice Saturday to compete in the Busch event that afternoon.
"I do not take this opportunity lightly," Wallace said. "I am not at the point in my career where I am content being a fill-in driver. I look at this as an audition because I would really like to drive for Jack [Roush] one day in the Busch Series.
"I look forward to putting the car on the pole and setting up the chassis for Jamie to win the race."
The No. 26 team has not competed in all the races this year and must qualify on speed.
