maybe he is tired of being a P/C poster child like hid Daddy Jeff Gordon.
BROOKLYN, Mich. - Kasey Kahne, who will start on the pole for Sunday's 3M Performance 400 at Michigan International Speedway, spun and hit the Turn 2 wall during final practice Saturday.
Kahne was not injured, and damage to the Evernham Motorsports No. 9 Dodge was not severe enough to require the team to use its backup entry.
"The car was real loose in [the] first practice," Kahne said, "and we tightened it up some. It was tight in the second practice and we never got it out. It slipped out from under me and I hit the wall [on the right side]."
Kahne, fourth fastest in the session, had won his fourth pole of the season on Friday.
"I feel fine," he said. "I'm upset with myself for making that mistake nad giving these guys a lot of extra work."
Greg Biffle, winner of two of the last three races at MIS, led the final practice session. Roush Racing teammate Mark Martin, Kevin Harvick, Kahne and Dale Earnhardt Jr. rounded out the top five.
