WEST ALLIS, Wis. - Wes Ward has taken over as Mark McFarland's crew chief at JR Motorsports beginning this weekend at the Milwaukee Mile.
Ward replaces Rich Hubbs, who moves back to the position for which he was hired, team manager of Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s Busch Series effort.
Ward, a veteran in the Busch Series, served as crew chief for JR Motorsports' Hooters Pro Cup team and driver Shane Huffman. Earnhardt Jr. hopes to run Huffman in a handful of Busch races later this year.
McFarland is 20th in the Busch Series point standings, with one top-10 finish, a seventh at Talladega.
