Anthony Corrente, who worked in the Richard Childress Racing engine department and later sued RCR for wrongful firing and breach of contract in September 2006, has agreed to settle his lawsuit against the team.
According to a mediation session report filed Nov. 21 in North Carolina Superior Court, the two parties have worked out an agreement on all issues.
Corrente had claimed he was fired a few months after informing team owner Richard Childress that an engine Kevin Harvick used in the 2006 Budweiser Shootout was illegal.
Childress denied those claims.
Corrente has until mid-January to file documents to officially dismiss the case.
