Ford deal valued at $20M-$25M
Monday, November 07, 2005
Ford Motor Co. will pay $20 million to $25 million to be the title sponsor of Homestead-Miami Speedway's NASCAR triple-header for the next 10 years, Street & Smith's SportsBusiness Journal reports.
Terms were not reported when the deal was announced last Friday, but the weekly publication says the amount was calculated by industry insiders.
The story by staff writer Scott Warfield also says the deal is considered likely to solidify the track's position as the host of NASCAR's season-ending events for the Nextel Cup, Busch Series and Craftsman Truck Series. NASCAR, however, has not officially committed to keeping the season finales there.
