Nextel Cup driver and team owner Michael Waltrip made a delivery to a contest-winning fan recently.
Ken Wood, a 44-year-old small business owner in Winston, Ore., was the winning bidder in the "Get the Door...It's Michael Waltrip!" contest. All proceeds from the auction went to the American Red Cross Hurricane Katrina relief efforts.
Wood received a Domino's Pizza delivery by Waltrip in the Best Western No. 99 Busch Series street car, as well as a party for 25 with food and beverages provided by Domino's. The group also won an autograph session with Waltrip.
Wood's winning bid of $4,605.55 was the highest-selling item of the more than 300 packages and products featured in the eBay auction, according to a news release. More than $64,000 was raised.
