Carl Edwards wants to run both the full Nextel Cup and Busch Series schedules again in 2007 but Roush Racing's plans for next year are not solidified.

Edwards is the only one of seven drivers who currently drive in both series who has expressed a desire to do so again next year.

Both Kevin Harvick and Clint Bowyer have said in the past they won't do both full schedules, while Reed Sorenson, Kyle Busch and Denny Hamlin said at Gateway International Raceway that they don't want to do both. J.J. Yeley wants to run 20-25 races in conjunction with his full Cup schedule, but said he would run for the Busch championship given the right sponsor.

Edwards could join Roush Racing teammate Todd Kluever in doing both series in '07. Kluever has said he wants to do both.

"I plan on running the full season next year," Edwards said July 29. "I don't know if we have everything put together yet. That's my plan. That's what I'd really like to do. I really enjoy it."

Sorenson said July 28 he wanted to run 15-20 races for Chip Ganassi Racing, but "definitely not the whole season."

Busch said July 29 he'd like to have the Gateway weekend off in '07 and that he probably would not run the full Busch season. But he admitted it's up to car owner Rick Hendrick and "what he wants to do and what [our sponsors] want to do."

Joe Gibbs Racing runs two full-time teams for Hamlin and Yeley, and Hamlin said July 29 that "maybe we can work out a deal where me and J.J. could share a car and get Aric [Almirola] up here full-time."
