Five Busch Series teams have designated backup drivers for this weekend's Sam's Town 250 at Memphis Motorsports Park. The teams' regular drivers will be in Atlanta Motor Speedway for Nextel Cup practice Friday and Saturday.
Matt McCall will substitute for points leader Carl Edwards in Roush Fenway Racing's No. 60 Ford, while Auggie Vidovich will sub for Roush Fenway's David Ragan and Kenny Wallace for Jamie McMurray.
Mark Green will practice and qualify for David Reutimann in Michael Waltrip Racing's No. 99 Toyota, with Casey Atwood driving J.J. Yeley's No. 20 Joe Gibbs Racing Chevrolet.
Cup practice Friday is scheduled from 3:30-5 p.m. EDT, with qualifying at 7.
Busch practice at Memphis is 3-4 p.m. and 5-6 p.m.
Busch qualifying is 10:35 a.m. Saturday, starting between two Nextel Cup practices. The final Cup practice at Atlanta ends at 12:20 p.m., giving Edwards, Reutimann, Ragan, Yeley and McMurray more than three hours to make the start of the Busch race, which is slated to take the green flag at 3:30 p.m. EDT.
