NASCAR has delayed its Busch Series schedule announcement, which was scheduled for today in Montreal, Canada.
Busch Series teams received tentative schedules last weekend at Dover, and NASCAR officials indicated that they planned to be in Montreal today to announce the addition of a road-course race event there in 2007. The schedules given to the teams had an Aug. 4 race date set for Circuit Gilles Villeneuve in Montreal.
NASCAR spokesman Tracey Judd said Tuesday that with the complexities of holding an international event, some final details needed to be completed but added, "Nothing is in danger."
"We're hopeful the schedule can be released sometime next week," she said.
