Busch continues fast ways, tops test session again

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. - Kyle Busch ended the first week of preseason Sprint Cup testing at Daytona International Speedway with the fastest speed after posting a 188.830 mph lap Wednesday afternoon.
Busch, in Joe Gibbs Racing's No. 18 Toyota, edged Matt Kenseth for Wednesday's best time. Kenseth (Roush Fenway Racing) was second at 188.494, with Reed Sorenson (Chip Ganassi Racing) third at 187.915. Jeff Gordon (Hendrick Motorsports) was fourth, followed by Martin Truex Jr.(Dale Earnhardt Inc.), AJ Allmendinger (Red Bull Racing), Casey Mears (Hendrick), Mark Martin (DEI), Carl Edwards (Roush Fenway) and Greg Biffle (Roush Fenway).
The top six Wednesday afternoon were also the six fastest speeds of the week. Seventh for the three-day test was J.J. Yeley (Hall of Fame Racing), followed by Mears, Kurt Busch (Penske Racing) and Martin.
The second week of preseason testing at Daytona continues next Monday.
